Electrical insulating inserts – flangeless non-separable pipeline insulating joints (TIS) are used to insulate the ends of sections of underground, surface, subsea pipelines transporting oil field waste water, oil, gas, industrial water, protected from electrochemical corrosion by methods of cathodic protection or without the use of such.

Pipeline insulating joints, due to the sufficient length of the insulating section (several calibers), make it possible to exclude leakage of protective or protective current through the elements in contact with the ground adjacent to the protected section (equipment, entry into buildings, concrete foundations, uninsulated sections of pipelines, etc.).

Climatic version of UHL 1 connections GOST 15150-69. Ambient air temperature during operation from -60 ° С to +40 ° С. The temperature of the transported medium is up to 110 ° С. The material of the pipe is steel 20X GOST 4543, the material of the insulator is fiberglass.

To increase the reliability of the connection, a power band was used:

– for pressures up to 4 MPa composite, obtained by winding basalt roving (Fig. 1)

– for pressures over 4 MPa, metal made of steel 20X (Fig. 2)

All materials used in the manufacture of the connection are certified.

TIS-M pipeline insulating joints are produced in 2 varieties:

• for oil field pipelines of oil gathering, water pipelines of technical water – TIS-40M2 (Pn = 4 MPa, Dn = 50,65,80,100,150,200,250,300 mm)
• for oilfield wastewater injection pipelines to maintain the back pressure – TIS-21M (Pn = 21 MPa, Dn = 50,65,80,100,150 mm)
